JMS252: Project-Based Courses Are a Mistake

If you’re only learning “via projects”, you’re making a mistake, in my opinion. The problem with project-based courses is they only teach you how to regurgitate code. You learn how to build one kind of application and build it in one specific way. They don’t teach you to look deeper and master the language, itself. If you want to be truly valuable to clients, companies and customers, you want to be capable of creating unique solutions to difficult problems. There’s no roadmap for that. It’s requires mastery.
